Introducing “DOMO” born Domonique Ashley Jordan, is no stranger to resilience and determination. As the oldest of six siblings, she grew up in Oakland, CA, under the care of her father and two grandmothers. Her upbringing was marked by both love and adversity, with her family serving as her anchor amidst the challenges of growing up with an absent mother.
Navigating the hardships of life in the hood, Domo developed a strong sense of responsibility and grit from a young age. She often found herself stepping up to help care for her younger siblings, all while pursuing her passion for music and the performing arts. The strength and support of grandmothers & father
played a crucial role in shaping her into the resilient and talented artist she is today. Domonique began writing at 9 years old and recorded her first song by the time she was 14 years old.
Domo’s early experiences instilled in her a drive to overcome obstacles and break through barriers, qualities that are evident in her music and performances. Her new single “B.O.M.D.” Is a Bold & Fun catchy approach back into the music industry which reflects her fun personality but she is more then just that she is an artist all around and can create just about any kind of genre of music. Her journey and growth on and off the music scene will showcase her ability to blend old school and new school vibes with a fresh, innovative sound. Influenced by legends like Janet Jackson, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes of TLC, 2Pac, Twista, Aaliyah, and Missy Elliott, just to name a few.
Domo brings a unique and versatile style to the music scene.With a background in theater arts from Laney College and training from John Robert Powers school for acting and modeling, Domo is a force to be reckoned with. She has also made her mark in the acting world, with roles in independent films such as “Hunting season” with Actor the late Tom Seizemore, Watch Phoenix Rise, Town Biz the movie and featured on episodes in “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood.”
